Multimedia Fun(dies)
Ok, I have more recent work to post, but ocd dictates I have to upload chronologically, hence more Art Fundies stuff (2011). On the bright side, these are more multimedia and fun pieces, hopefully providing a splash of color to the conte/graphite/charcoal/ life drawing-fest so far.
Graphic/Designy stuff:
Pretty happy with these, as I haven't really painted much before . There's a nice satisfying feel to painting with a brush that's different from tablets, but can't say I'm going to miss the mess, cleaning brushes, and huge batches of gouache drying out because I'm dumb.
I think doing fine detail with a brush is great way to build touch and dexterity. I'm even more amazed now by inkers and cel painters after trying it out a bit here - shaky shaky.
Digital stuff:
Worked really hard on this one. I wanted to post it on TL since Julyzerg made it to a final a few days off from the due date, and I've been a fan of his since Broodwar. It got spotlighted too :D
Rough, digital painting studies:
Not too pleased with the digital paintings, but it's a start and I think I get how the settings work now.
This turned out to be a long post, just wanted to get the AFD stuff out of the way. Animation stuff Incoming.
Oh, almost forgot: Juggling Penguin and Mary Poppins in scratchboard. Hello.
Graphic/Designy stuff:
Using the "Vormator" restriction of using only specific shapes. |

Some Life Drawings
Still trying to get the hang of conte chalk sticks. Faster poses are troublesome; 30-60secs goes by fast when trying to think about gesture, structure, anatomy, composition and line quality!
Hopefully it gets better with practice.
Some 5 min ones:
And suddenly, Steven Seagal.
